About the Role 

As E-Commerce Optimization Manager (m/f/) for Italy and France at Redcare, you are responsible for optimizing and enhancing the search and recommendation features in our online shops for these markets. Your primary goal is to help customers easily find the products and information they need, inspire them and drive business growth. In our daily work we use tools such as Algolia and Econda, accompanied by a set of AI/ML based services. 

This position is planned as a part-time role with 28 hours per week.
While we’re currently not offering it as a full-time position, we’re open to flexibility: if you’re interested in working slightly more or fewer hours, feel free to apply anyway – we’d be happy to discuss what working hours suit you best.

About Your Tasks

• You monitor and enhance the performance and manage day-to-day operations related to search and recommendation tasks. You also develop and implement new ideas to improve search and recommendation functionalities
• You lead, execute, and evaluate A/B tests to inform decision-making
• You collaborate proactively in a cross-functional environment with stakeholders in Product Management, Category Management, Retail Media, Analytics and service providers
• You stay up to date about the unique aspects of e-commerce and the pharmaceutical and personal care industry in Italy and France
• You create and utilize dashboards to generate actionable insights, identify customer experience issues, and uncover new opportunities. You conduct data-driven analyses to explore challenges and opportunities in our day-to-day business and strategic work

About You 

• You have a degree in Business Administration or a related field, with at least 2 - 3 years of experience in e-commerce onsite management, product management, analytics, or a similar role
• You possess strong analytical skills to identify problem areas, propose solutions, and manage complex tasks, as well as technical aptitude to efficiently use tools. Experience with search and recommendation management tools is a plus
• You have excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey meaningful insights to peers, stakeholders, and partners. You feel comfortable communicating in English, and also speak some Italian and/or French; German is a plus.
• You bring a solid business mindset and ideally have insights into the Italian and/or French markets—especially in the health, personal care, or beauty sectors—enabling you to anticipate and navigate relevant trends effectively
• If you want, you can work mostly remotely, but you are open to joining your team in Cologne twice a month
