About the role: We are looking for a Senior Java Engineer (m/f/d) to join our Payments Team to contribute to improving the payment architecture and enhancing the experience for our 13.5M + active users.

About the tech stack: Java, NodeJS, Spring Boot, RMQ, MongoDB.

About the role:

• Join a collaborative and autonomous team where you can play a key role in developing, launching, and maintaining software solutions
• Play a crucial role in building our inhouse payments ecosystem across all the countries we operate in
• Build, ship and run your software and take ownership of the payment domain, its services, and its future, and you will be involved in how it is shipped and monitored, once in production
• Develop high-quality software. You will have the opportunity to work with a test-driven approach from the outset, ensuring that we prioritize the safety and privacy of sensitive information at all times
• Take pride in contributing to the growth of the industry and making a meaningful impact

About you:

• You have experience in building Java Services, e.g. with Spring Boot, Spring Native, Micronaut or Quarkus
• You are well-versed with Docker and ideally, have production experience with Kubernetes (not a must)
• High quality code means tested code with proper coverage to you
• You are experienced in creating and consuming RESTful APIs, that operate at scale, are easy to use and self-documented
• You feel at home in complex and heterogeneous system landscapes, and you know that sometimes creative solutions are more valuable than the standard path
• Developing software means more to you than simply coding - the “why” of what you do is important to you
• You are a team player and like to share your ideas and work together

Remote work policy:

Our offices are open, but you are free to work from home, from any location in Germany. It is entirely up to you if you want to pop into the office every now and again, or if you work from home all the time. At the same time, we value relationship between all members of the area and therefore we have regular team and area anchor days on which every team member is asked to come to the office.
