Our environmental, social and governance approach

Sustainable Development is a fundamental aspect of Redcare Pharmacy's strategic positioning. It permeates every aspect of our company and holds equal importance for employees, customers, and shareholders.

," we developed a holistic sustainability strategy that sheds light on environmental, social, and governance (ESG) issues. Its objective is to generate shared value for our business and stakeholders within the European online pharmacy market. 

Beyond this focus, we are dedicated to conducting ourselves responsibly and with integrity, including in our interactions with suppliers, political parties, and non-governmental organisations. 

Materiality: only holistic is sustainable.

Redcare Pharmacy's process for identifying material issues adheres to the 

 (GRI), which provides guidelines for the preparation of sustainability reports.

Since 2020, Redcare Pharmacy has engaged in intensive efforts to identify the company's actual and potential impacts, both positive and negative, on the economy, environment, people, and human rights, using the GRI standard as a framework.

It has been crucial for us to involve internal and external stakeholders, proceed carefully and incrementally, and, if necessary, forge new paths. For instance, we independently developed an industry standard for service-related business models, which is not yet encompassed by the GRI standard.

To gain a comprehensive understanding of our company, we expanded the materiality definitions of the GRI standard to include those of 

The context analysis primarily focuses on three key stakeholder groups: employees, customers, and shareholders. Their perspectives enable us to address specific issues that are material to Redcare Pharmacy’s business model.

Step 2: Identify actual and potential impacts.

United Nations' 169 Sustainable Development Goals

 (SDGs), we analysed the goals on which Redcare Pharmacy could have positive or negative impacts. 

Through an extensive internal analysis and a series of workshops involving all core departments at Redcare Pharmacy, each goal was individually assessed. The resulting list of actual and potential impacts was then shared with customers and investors for further input. 

To ensure a manageable and robust assessment, we relied on the academic work of Van Zanten and Van Tulder: 

"Multinational enterprises and the Sustainable Development Goals: An institutional approach to corporate engagement."

After identifying the areas where our company has environmental, social, and governance impacts, the next step was to evaluate these impacts. 

Through intensive workshops with our departments, followed by assessment by the board, we assigned importance to each item. 

External stakeholder perspectives were subsequently solicited through questionnaires.

In order to enhance all stakeholders' understanding and overview of SDG-related issues, a materiality review was conducted in 2021.

Secondly, the originally nine SDG topics were expanded to twelve, allowing for greater detail management:

In our ongoing process to our Sustainable Development, all relevant core teams will continue to address these issues. 

If necessary actions have not already been taken, appropriate measures will be implemented to manage actual and potential impacts. We will closely monitor the effectiveness of these actions, regularly reviewing progress assessment indicators. 

Ultimately, all targets, lessons learned, and experiences will be thoroughly reviewed and aligned with the company's comprehensive annual operational planning processes and management review.
