SHOP APOTHEKE EUROPE is further strengthening its technological expertise by opening a new tech site in Berlin.

“The location in Berlin offers many advantages including additional potential for recruiting - and we have our finger on the pulse of the e-health community there”, explains Marc Fischer, Chief Information Officer (CIO) of SHOP APOTHEKE EUROPE. “As a technology-driven company we want to further expand our position as a leading e-pharmacy with partners based in Berlin.”

Since the company already has offices in Berlin as a result of the acquisition of the functional foods specialist nu3 in 2018, the new technology hub will significantly expand its presence in the German capital, Marc Fischer says: “Together with nu3, we are optimally networked in Berlin, particularly since we will be working together at the same site. We are very much looking forward to the coming period”.

Bernhard Spielmann, Chief Product Officer at SHOP APOTHEKE EUROPE, is responsible for setting up the technology hub: “I am delighted that the new technology hub in Berlin has finally been completed and can be officially opened after the detailed planning and implementation phase. Thanks to our colleagues from nu3 on site and our technological partners Verkstedt we were able to successfully manage and set up the project from Cologne. The expansion of our technological competencies means we are well-positioned for the future.”
