SHOP APOTHEKE EUROPE Awarded MSCI AAA Rating for Sustainability.

Sevenum, the Netherlands, 18 April 2023. As of 2023, SHOP APOTHEKE EUROPE received an MSCI ESG Rating of AAA. This places Europe’s leading online pharmacy among the top 4% of its industry (Health Care Providers & Services) globally. The rating recognises the company's commitment to sustainability and its efforts to integrate sustainable practices into operations.

MSCI ESG Research provides MSCI ESG Ratings on global public and a few private companies on a scale of AAA (leader) to CCC (laggard), according to exposure to industry-specific ESG risks (Environmental, Social and Governance) and the ability to manage those risks relative to peers. The MSCI AAA Rating is the highest possible rating and is awarded to companies that demonstrate industry-leading management of ESG risks.

SHOP APOTHEKE EUROPE's ESG performance is driven by its commitment to sustainability and focus on reducing its environmental impact while contributing positively to society. The online pharmacy scores with an above-average performance in the areas of governance, labor management as well as product carbon footprint. The company’s sustainability strategy includes various measures to reduce the environmental carbon footprint, such as the use of renewable energy sources as well as the measurement and reduction of emissions along the entire value chain.
